IT'S OFFICIAL...ish!

According to a new study, partially funded by the British Heart Foundation, drinking up to 25 cups of coffee a day is no longer considered to be harmful in stiffening your arteries and therefore not as bad for the heart as previously thought.

“In a bid to put all the conflicting media assumptions into perspective, the BHF alongside the Queen Mary University of London undertook new research, led by Professor Steffen Petersen.

In which thorough studies of more than 8,000 people and their coffee habits took place, including MRI heart scans and infrared pulse wave tests. These have confirmed that consuming up to 25 cups of coffee a day will not increase your risks or arterial stiffness and overall is no worse for you than drinking less than one cup a day.”

OKAY, so doctors are not really going to advise that we drink insane amounts of coffee as our title here implies, but it simply means that coffee’s effect on our health is not as detrimental as previously thought – this is good news for our industry!
